Jasper Merry

Beloved Pet of the Merry family, Jasper, 12, of Nashport, crossed over the rainbow bridge on Monday, February 10, 2025. He was born in the spring of 2013.

Someone dumped Jasper along a road in Franklin County and he ended up in the Franklin County Animal Shelter. We were there looking for a dog to adopt and he chose us. A few days later he came home to Nashport to a loving family, a bunch of daycare kids and a not so loving Siamese cat who did not see the humor in adding a dog to the family. Jasper lived a great life playing with his best friend and neighbor, “Coop”, and all the kids.

He never met a stranger especially if they brought food. He was very well behaved and a non-barker. He loved the daycare kids (they dropped food) and was very protective of them. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Jaspers family would like to extend special thanks to the Brandywine Hospital for Pets, who could not have been more helpful and supportive when Jasper’s time came as well as to The Loving Companion Pet Crematory for the great care they gave to Jasper.

A cremation will take place under the direction of the Loving Companion Pet Crematory and Bolin-Dierkes Funeral home is caring for the family, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
